May Week is a national program of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. that focuses on highlighting academic and professional achievement, and emphasizing the importance of higher education! Each year, we celebrate academic excellence and community impact through the promotion of the Sorority’s National Five-Point Programmatic Thrust.

































Every year during the month of May, The Jacksonville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, hosts a Scholarship and Community Impact Awards Program to celebrate talented youth from Jacksonville and surrounding areas (public, private, and charter high schools) and recognize the Unsung Heroes in our community.
To be eligible, students must be seniors attending one of the designated high schools within our service area and plan to enroll full-time at a four-year, accredited college or university during the 2025–2026 academic year.
This year’s scholarships recognize achievement in a variety of fields, including:

The Jacksonville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of our 2025 Scholarship Recipients. Each year, our chapter invests in the future of young scholars in Duval, Clay, and Nassau counties through our Annual Scholarship Program. Since its inception, we have awarded over $120,000 to deserving high school seniors who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to service.

WORKSHOPS
& Programs

VIRTUAL COLLEGE READINESS WORKSHOP
The focus is providing information about financial aid (obtaining funds from private scholarships, grants, etc.. and how the counseling office partners with students by directing them to resources to assist with college expenses). Also, the impact of tests (SAT/ACT, AP, etc.) on college entrance as well as any skills needed to prepare for the college application process.
PREPARING FOR HIGH SCHOOL ACCELERATION PROGRAMS WORKSHOP
The "Preparing for High School Acceleration Programs" workshop, conducted by Ms. Nicole Brown, provided middle school students and families with essential guidance on advanced academic opportunities.
The workshop covered key topics, including:
