Jacksonville Alumnae Chapter

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Greetings,

On behalf of the Jacksonville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.  It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our website!

On February 9, 1946, the Alpha Iota Sigma Chapter was officially chartered.  The local chapter, now known as Jacksonville Alumnae, has over 400 educated women who have combined their knowledge and skills focused on sisterhood, service, scholarship, and social action while delivering public service that has expanded for more than seventy-five years.

Our organization is honored to be the home of Founder Winona Cargile Alexander, who was the first African American to graduate from the New York School of Philanthropy.  In keeping with the One Delta strategy, we are implementing our Five-Point Programmatic Thrust: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, and Political Awareness and Involvement.  The theme of our 2023-2025 partnership and community engagement program is Engage, Empower, Enhance, and Elevate.

We strive to impact our community by providing lasting change, so join us at our next public event or sorority meeting.  The Jacksonville (FL) Alumnae Chapter welcomes you!
