The 2011-2012 class of the Dr. Betty Shabazz Academy( BSA) and the Dr. Jeanne Noble GEMS Institute (GEMS) is ready to soar and launch into this year’s dynamic program! A record number of 71 students and 67 parents participated in the kick-off event/orientation on Saturday, September 17th held at Florida State College at Jacksonville-North Campus. Participants were also able to enjoy the on campus 9th Annual Family Literacy Fair with food, fun, and activities.
